
Benjamin Linder
Former Vice President Marketing,
Openwave Systems, Inc.
Ben was most recently
head of Marketing at Phone.com. He joined Phone.com in 1996 and
was appointed as Vice President of Marketing. After the merger of
Phone.com and Software.com, Ben served as Vice President of Marketing
of the combined entity - Openwave Systems.
Prior to joining
Phone.com, Ben was Vice President of Marketing at Oracle Corporation.
He co-founded and was responsible for Oracle's New Media Division.
Prior to working in the New Media division of Oracle, Ben was Director
of Technical Services for the massively parallel processing technology
at Oracle.
Ben also serves on
the Board of Advisors at PacketVideo and Emark Solutions.
Ben holds B.S. degrees
in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology.
Rajeev Motwani, Ph.D.
Professor of Computer Science,
Stanford University
Rajeev
is a professor of computer science at Stanford University, where
he also serves as the director of graduate studies. He obtained
his Ph.D. in computer science from University of California, Berkeley
in 1988.
Rakeev
is known for his research in several areas of computer science,
including databases and data mining, web search and information
retrieval, robotics, computational drug design, and theoretical
computer science. He has written two books used at universities
all over the world -- Randomized Algorithms published by Cambridge
University Press in 1995, and an undergraduate textbook published
by Addison-Wesley in 2001. As a tribute to his work, Rajeev has
received the Godel Prize, the Okawa Foundation Research Award, the
Arthur Sloan Research Fellowship, the National Young Investigator
Award from the National Science Foundation, the Bergmann Memorial
Award from the US-Israel Binational Science Foundation, and an IBM
Faculty Award. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Combinatorics
and currently serves on the editorial board of SIAM Journal on Computing
and the Journal of Computer and System Sciences.
Not solely
an academic, Rajeev has extensive industry experience as a board
member or technical advisor to companies such as DotEdu Ventures,
Google, Jumpstartup Ventures, Radik, and Vhayu. He is a charter
member of TIE (The IndUS Entrepreneurs).
