Siva V. Kumar
Co-founder, Chairman

Siva co-founded Onebox.com (acquired by Phone.com/Openwave). In addition, he is involved as a co-founder, seed investor and advisor to several venture backed companies BridgeSpan, Impresse, FastForward Networks (acquired by Inktomi), EveryPath, ClosedLoop, Seven, and Telera. Previously Siva was VP of Marketing at Chromatic Research and before that VP of Marketing and General Manager at Frame Technology. Siva has also held senior marketing positions at Oracle, Apple and Intel.

Siva received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago; an MS from Pennsylvania State University; and a B.Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India.

Ram Kedlaya
President & Chief Executive Officer

Ram is responsible for the overall direction and leadership of Vialto.

Ram is a veteran with over 20 years in Enterprise Software, Messaging, Networking and Telecommunications industries. He has extensive experience as an entrepreneur and senior executive, in growing young technology companies. Prior to Vialto, Ram had various roles in eGain Communications, during the growth phase from startup to public company, including VP Product Development, VP Professional Services and Sr. VP International Operations, where he was responsible for sales, marketing and post-sales.

Previously, Ram co-founded NUKO Information Systems, a broadband infrastructure company where he was Board member, VP Products and VP Business Development. His previous experience includes roles in AT&T Bell Labs, Tandem Computers, GO Corporation and Hitachi Computers.

Ram received an MS in Computer Science from University of Texas, Austin and a B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India.

Ramneek Bhasin
Co-founder, Vice President Business Development

Ramneek, co-founder of Vialto, is leading Vialto's efforts in alliances, partnerships, product strategy and customer success.

Previously, Ramneek co-founded WSB Technologies, a leading Systems Integrator and Technology Management Consulting firm, and continues to serve as a member of its Board of Directors. Ramneek as Chief Operating and Marketing Officer was instrumental in building an entrepreneurial company funded entirely from profitable operations. He maintained executive relationships with all WSB Technologies customers as well as partners including Digital (now Compaq/HP), Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard and Eastman Software. While at WSB, he also served on an HP steering committee for next generation professional services.

Prior to WSB Technologies, Ramneek was at Schlumberger VLSI Test Division. As Director of Strategic Software Marketing, he was responsible for managing the roadmap. He served on management boards for Software Quality and Schlumberger’s strategic alliances with Intel and Yokogawa. Ramneek has also held technical and management positions at Digital Equipment Corp. and Synercom Technologies.

Ramneek received his M.S. from Louisiana State and a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India. He also has continuing education credits from Stanford University and Babson College.

Gautam Bhargava, Ph.D.
Co-founder
Chief Technology Officer & Vice President of Engineering

Gautam, co-founder and CTO of Vialto, was most recently at Webvan Group, as a member of the Platform Architecture Board. As an Architect in the Software Strategy group he led the design and implementation of Webvan’s data mining strategy. Gautam was also an integral part of the team re-architecting their backend systems.

Prior to Webvan, Gautam was the first employee at TimesTen Performance Software, a high-performance, main-memory SQL-database company. At TimesTen he had multiple responsibilities, both technical and managerial -- Product Architect, Kernel Developer, and Engineering Manager. He was also responsible for architecting and designing FrontTier, a main-memory SQL-cache for Oracle databases. Previously, Gautam held senior kernel-engineering positions at IBM Santa Teresa Lab and Silicon Graphics.

Gautam is a co-inventor on several granted patents in the area of relational database technology and has published papers in leading database journals and conferences such as SIGMOD, VLDB, TKDE, etc. He earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science from Iowa State University, and a B.Tech. in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India.

Mark Anderson
Vice President of Sales

Mark brings 16 years of Telecom and Enterprise software Sales Management experience to Vialto.  He most recently ran Western US Sales operations for Air2Web Inc, a leading Wireless Application Gateway software company where he managed the acquisition of several key clients for mobile data access solutions.

Over the past ten years Mark held Executive and VP roles at Meteor, a web collaboration company;  Searchbutton.com (now MondoSoft) - an Internet and database search and analytics company and Superscape – a leader in Virtual Reality Software.

Mark’s prior six years were in Sales Management positions at Polycom, the leader in audio/video conferencing where he helped build the Direct Sales team and GTE as a Regional Sales Manager.  Mark holds a B.A. in Advertising from San Jose State University and has completed graduate studies at UCLA’s Anderson School of Business.

Steve Ehrlich
Vice President Marketing

Steve, Vialto's Vice President of Marketing, most recently was at Nuance. He served as Nuance's Vice President of Marketing from 1997 until 2001 where he helped shape the products and strategy of the company.  Steve was instrumental in defining the vision for the Voice Web and remains a strong advocate for the adoption of speech technology.

Prior to Nuance, Steve held various technical and marketing positions over a 12 year period at Oracle Corp.  Steve holds an Honors degree in Commerce from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa.
